Hi, I’m Rebecca
I can’t wait to create with you.
I’m a photographer and videographer based in Ottawa with a focus on telling real stories through a documentary-style approach. I’ve always been drawn to people - their stories, their energy, the way they exist when they’re not trying too hard. My work is about capturing people as they are - unfiltered, honest, and in the moment.
With a background in social work, I’ve spent years listening to people and noticing the details that often go unseen. Photography, for me, is about presence - letting moments unfold naturally rather than staging them.
Whether it’s a portrait session, a brand shoot, or a personal project, my approach is always the same: keep it real. No forced smile, no stiff poses - just honest images that feel like you.
A Bit About Me
“A good photograph is one that communicates a fact, touches the heart, and leaves the viewer a changed person.” — Irving Penn
Before we even pick up the camera, I want to understand who you are - whether that’s through a quick call, a few emails, or a casual conversation. The best images come from trust and comfort, and that starts before the shoot even begins.
I am for an experience that feel natural. I’ll guide you when needed, offer a few prompts, but mostly, I’ll be paying attending - to the way you move, the way you interact, the moments that make you you.
I also know that being in front of a camera can feel vulnerable. That’s why creating a comfortable, inclusive space is always a priority. My goal isn’t just to take photos - it’s to help you or your brand see yourself in a way that feels authentic and true.
My Approach
Outside of work, I’m usually on an adventure with my favourite human, walking our 2 dogs, or at the gym. I enjoy dancing in the kitchen, making conversation, and making something with my hands. I am proudly a part of the LGBTQ2S+ community and working alongside others in the community makes my heart extra happy.
Thanks for being here ♡
